What Drivers Ask Before Enrolling

If your question isn't covered here, email us at info@freewaytrafficschool.com and a real person will help.

Is it really free to start?

Yes. Complete the enrollment steps with no upfront course payment. Pay the promotional course price of $39 when you pass.

How much is the course, and when do I pay?

The promotional price is $39 through October 29, 2026 (regularly $49). Pay when you pass. Any fee your court charges is separate and is paid directly to the court.

Can I pause and continue later?

Yes. Complete the lessons at your own pace and return from any device where you left off. Your progress is saved.

Does this work for my county?

Yes, wherever you are in the state. Freeway holds California DMV TVS license E1745, which is valid statewide. As long as your court has approved traffic school for your citation, you can complete this course for a ticket issued anywhere in California.

Is the course available in Spanish?

Yes. The full course runs in both English and Spanish, from the lessons to the quizzes. If you would rather register and study in Spanish, head to our En Español page to get started.

Am I eligible for traffic school?

Generally you qualify if you hold a valid driver's license (California, or an out-of-state license if your court authorizes it), you were driving a non-commercial vehicle, the ticket is a minor infraction (not a misdemeanor or DUI), your court has granted permission, and at least 18 months separate the prior violation date for which you used traffic school and the current violation date. The window is not measured from when you attended or completed the earlier course. Holding a commercial license (CDL) only rules out the citation if you were driving a commercial vehicle — a CDL holder cited in a personal vehicle may still qualify.

Eligibility is ultimately decided by your court, so confirm with them before you register. If a registration turns out to be ineligible, it cannot be refunded — a quick check of your citation or a call to the court settles it.
